What we install

From the front door to the document cabinet

One system for every door, managed from a single console: for each entrance you choose the credential it needs. The detailed pages are in Italian.

Across Switzerland

From site survey to support, we do it ourselves

We are based in Stabio, in Ticino, and take on projects throughout Switzerland.

  1. Site survey

We look at doors, gates and offices, and work out who needs to get in, where and at what times. The quote is built from this, tailored to you.

  2. Design

The right reader and credential for every door. 125 kHz and MIFARE Classic badges can be copied: we recommend DESFire EV3 or HID Seos.

  3. Installation

We mount the terminals and set up groups, schedules, attendance and visitors. One door takes half a day, and the old locks stay in service until the new ones have been tested.

  4. Support

We handle call-outs ourselves, with response times agreed in the support contract; for emergencies there is a direct number, not a call centre abroad.

Offices

Badge or phone at the entrance, internal doors with the same credentials, visitors registered in advance and welcomed at reception.

Production and warehouses

IP67 and IK08 readers where it rains and forklifts bump into things; facial recognition where hands are full; attendance on the same terminal.

Restricted areas

Two credentials together, for example badge and PIN or face and badge, and a log of who went through, door by door.

Frequently asked questions

What we are asked most often

Badge, PIN or fingerprint: which is best?
It depends on who goes through and how often. A badge is convenient and can be replaced in a minute if it is lost; a PIN costs nothing, but people lend it to each other; a fingerprint cannot be left at home and is the only one that really tells you who went through, but it is sensitive personal data and has to be introduced with due care. In the companies we work with, the most common combination is a badge for everyone and fingerprints on the sensitive doors.
Does it integrate with alarm systems and cameras?
Yes: the terminals have contacts and protocols to communicate with alarm panels and video surveillance systems, so a denied access or a door left open also becomes a visible event there.
How long does installation take?
One door takes half a day, installation and configuration included. With several doors we work in groups, as a rule without stopping your business: the old locks stay in service until the new ones have been tested.
Do you work throughout Switzerland?
Yes. We are based in Stabio, in Ticino, and take on projects throughout Switzerland. We carry out the site survey, installation and support ourselves.
Can our badges be copied?
It depends on the technology. 125 kHz badges (EM4100, HID Prox and similar) send an unencrypted number and can be duplicated with a copier bought online; with MIFARE Classic the Crypto-1 algorithm has been publicly broken since 2008. Today MIFARE DESFire EV3 and HID Seos, with AES, are secure, provided the reader checks the card cryptographically and does not just read its serial number. During a site survey we can see in a few minutes what you have in circulation.
Do we have to replace all readers and badges at once?
No. Some readers read the old and the new card technology at the same time: you replace the readers first, hand out the new badges gradually and switch off the old technology at the end. Work carries on and the cost is spread over two budget years.
What about doors with no power?
For those there are battery-powered electronic cylinders and handles, such as Uhlmann & Zacher: the reader sits in the cylinder or the handle, with no cables and no building work. Cellars, archives, outbuildings and cabinets join the same permission management as the wired doors.
Does the system keep working if the network goes down?
Yes, if it is designed properly: readers and controllers keep the permissions locally and go on deciding on their own; events are reported as soon as the connection is back. It is a criterion to check before buying, not at the first outage.
Can the phone replace the badge?
Yes. With mobile access the credential sits in the phone and reaches the reader over Bluetooth or NFC. The practical gain is in administration: permissions are granted and revoked remotely, nothing has to be printed and nothing collected when someone leaves.
Wiegand or OSDP?
OSDP with Secure Channel wherever possible. Wiegand transmits the badge number in clear text over two wires: anyone who reaches the cable behind the reader can read it, or inject a valid number. OSDP is encrypted and bidirectional, and the controller notices if a reader is disconnected.
